Throat Comfort® is a naturally sweet herbal supplement tea designed to support the respiratory system and soothe mucous membranes in the trachea, irritated by common, everyday stress. Our healing formula is made with Slippery Elm Bark and Mullein, favorite demulcents of Western and European herbalism prized for their mucilage content and usefulness in relieving minor irritation in the mucous membranes of the throat. The mucilaginous substances present coating along the throat's mucous lining, which can be especially important for singers and public speakers. Our herbal supplement tea includes Black Cherry Bark for both its soothing effects and pleasant cherry flavor. This herb, native to North America, includes cyanogenic glycosides, such as prunasin, which help suppress spasms and soothe the muscles lining the bronchioles. Directions:

For best tea infusion, per 8 oz boiling water over one Throat Comfort™ tea bag and steep for 5 to 10 minutes. For a stronger effect, use 2 tea bags. Gently squeeze each tea bag to fully release the active ingredients. Due to the naturally occurring mucilage in the herbs, the longer you steep, the more soothing the tea will be. When you throat is irritated, sip throughout the day and use as a gargle. To care for a delicate throat, such as for singing or public speaking, drink 1-2 cups per day.

Easy Yoga to Bring Energy to the Throat
Sit cross-legged or in a chair with your spine straight and feet flat on the floor. Rest your hands on the knees with your eyes closed. Inhale through the nose as you turn your head so you are facing over your left shoulder; exhale through the nose as you turn your head so you are facing over the right shoulder. Continue for 1-3 minutes. Then, facing straight ahead, take a few deep breaths and relax. Feel your throat fill with energy, warmth and light!
