ß-glucan in maitake mushroom has ß-1,6-glucan with ß-1,3 branches and ß-1,3-glucan with ß-1,6 branches. There is some misunderstanding among the people or even professionals that ?Maitake D-Fraction®? may be a generic term of active ingredient in Maitake mushroom. Please do not get confused. The active compound of maitake mushroom is a polysaccharide called ß-glucan which is also found in other medicinal mushrooms such as Agaricus Blazei and Reishi. The ß-glucan contained in ?Maitake D-Fraction®,? however, is water-soluble and has some unique chemical structures consisting of both ß-1,3-D-glucans with the branches of ß-1,6-D-glucans and ß-1,6-D-glucans with the branches of ß-1,3-D-glucans. Instructions:
