Biography of ROBERT C. ATKINS, M.D.
Robert C. Atkins, M.D. is the founder and Executive Medical Director of The
Atkins Center for Complementary Medicine in New York City. A 1951 graduate of
the University of Michigan, Dr. Atkins received his medical degree from Cornell
University Medical School in 1955, and went on to specialize in cardiology. He has
been a practicing physician for 40 years and has cared for over 60,000 patients.
Along with seeing patients daily, Dr. Atkins continues to champion the natural
healing arts, including proper diet and nutritional support, as safe and effective
alternatives to pharmaceutical drugs and surgery for a wide range of illnesses,
